Getting to Hamburg University

Public transportation
It's easy to get to Universität Hamburg by public transportation:
Train (S-Bahn): The S21 and S31 trains take three minutes to get from the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Dammtor Train Station (main campus).

Bus: The 4, 5 and 109 buses go directly to the University (Dammtor (Messe/CCH) bus stop).

Car: Due to limited parking, we strongly recommend taking public transportation!

Getting to DESY (on Friday, 30.08.)

Public transportation

Train (S-Bahn): The S1 and S11 trains take about 15 minutes from the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Othmarschen Train Station. We will provide shuttle bus service to DESY on Friday morning between 08:00 and 09:00.

Bus: The 1 bus takes you from Othmarschen Train Station to the DESY main entrance (Zum Huenengrab (DESY) bus stop). The 3 bus takes you out of the city center to the DESY side entrance (Luruper Chaussee (DESY) bus stop).
